Workshop: Creating 3D textiles with Pulled Warp and Coiling with Char Norman

10:00 am- 4:00pm (with lunch break)

Participants will learn how to create a three-dimensional woven form using tapestry, pulled warp, and coiling. After engineering the form on a simple frame loom, weavers will learn to further define the shape by pulling up loose warps, securing ends and coiling the edges. Although this can be done on any kind of loom, in the interest of portability and time, we will use frame looms and needle weaving method.
